Unit memberships are the backbone of this organization which advocates solely for the health, safety and welfare of children and youth! Connecticut PTSA continues to grow with your help. The following is a list and explanation of Membership Awards that your PTA/PTSA can achieve! Most Awards are Presented at our Awards Dinner held in Spring, 2013.

How many students are enrolled in your school? Achieve as many members to join PTA as your total students
enrolled in your school and you receive a 2013 One Voice Award!! (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
10% INCREASE: Increase in Membership
Your membership must exceed 10% over last year. (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
100% TEACHER MEMBERSHIP - (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
Get every teacher of your school to become a PTA Member.
Let them know through a flyer how PTA benefits them as teachers!!!
10 OUTSIDE COMMUNITY MEMBERS - (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
Ask the mailman, your hair dresser, grandma, grandpa, Auntie Sue, anyone!
Achieve 10 outside members and your unit receives another great award!!
NEW MEMBERSHIP AWARD FOR MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT - (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
For all schools who take on the student challenge we will have an award. Every PTA who has at least 10% of their membership made up of students will receive a membership award for their PTSA. The student name will be put in a drawing and three winners will be pulled and awarded prizes from the state office.
MALE INVOLVEMENT MEMBERSHIP AWARD (Award Presented at Awards Dinner)
Create a Male Involvement Committee (must be chaired by a male); Plan 3 male involvement activities for your PTA that reduces barriers and promotes male involvement in the PTA or the school.

EARLY BIRD: Early Membership To all units if the first reporting with payment of membership is in the Hamden Office by October 15, 2012- your unit will automatically receive our Early Bird Award. CLICK HERE FOR 2011 WINNERS
SILVER LEAF: Additional Members Payment of 25 additional members reported to the Hamden Office by Jan 1,2013.
HONOR ROLL: Maintaining last year’s figures Your Units PTA’S Name listed in the CT PTSA Bulletin .If you have the same Membership equal to last year 2011-2012.
