The Center For Teaching (CFT) provides faculty development within the Connecticut Community College System. The unique structure and funding of CFT distinguish this program. Each Connecticut Community College has a Center For Teaching or Teaching Excellence Committee whose members work with the Faculty Development Consultant to determine the college’s yearly activities.

Founded in 1985 by an act of the Connecticut Legislature, this bipartisan commission works to oversee matters concerning children and youth.
